alphatesting
There are two options for testing the Astrometry.net software: There is a user-friendly web service and a downloadable software package for the computer-savvy.
web: If you are interested in becoming an alpha tester for the web version, please send email to alpha@astrometry.net, stating your interest and describing the kinds of data you have for use with the service. Please include in your email an example image or a URL pointing to one.
download: If you want to try downloading and building our software on your local linux, unix, or Mac box, then (1) download the source astrometry.net-0.24.tar.bz2 (or astrometry.net-0.24.tar.gz), and (2) read the README file. Although the code is released under a GPL license, you will also need to download some data files, and these are distributed under a different license; see the GETTING-INDEXES file for details.
